Hi - especially to Uberwiggett robx.
OK - this is not actually a contender - more of a coincidence...
2 months ago i found psioniq's dwarf model and became inspired. Since then i have started devlopment of an action/RPG game - zelda-esque. I have progressed quite well, including:
- making the basic village to start with
- made first dungeon (no puzzles yet!) - WITH enemies (temporary)
- use of bomb weapon
- can kill enemies
- 3d music on approach to enemies (zelda style!)
- composed dungeon, village and enemy music and sound FX
OF course there are problem, such as having simple battle engine. And using battle animations require quick 'stab' of the keys to prompt animations.
But, there is fully working sliding collision code for x models created by NerdSoft that is foolproof and quick.
Anyway, Uberwiggett robx, i'm glad to see your progress and have been watching from a distance - id love to have you work with me on my project or vice versa since the our ideas are rougly similar.
For you and every =one else i have uploaded some screens
these show the village through differnt angles in the game and the use of the dynamic camera system ive incorporated.
It alos show the use of bobmbs and enetering the first dungeon
Also shows the enemies
(ID REALLY LIKE AN ANIMATED GOBLIN MODEL!!)
Tell me what you think and any advice or help would be very much appreciated!
Cheers!
