Working on my logo right now in Maya 6 and Gimp. I have it fading out to go to my options screen but want the next screen to be a game intro screen that fades in slowly.

Here's what I have for my fade in.

I then tried to reverse it to fade back in to test and see if I can have my next screen fade in with but the screen stays blank.

I've gone through the premiere press "Programming in DarkBASIC" book and the BDPro tutorials as well as the Help file built into the DBP IDE. They clearly cover how to fade out but little on back in which I made the mistake of assuming it would be as simple as reversing the fade percentage.

Suggestions ?

I would make it a sprite and use set sprite alpha to fade it in and out. Or run the program in Full Screen Exclusive mode and use the gamma command to fade the entire screen in and out.

Excellent. Thanks again LIT. Credit is clearly owed to you and David T soon as I get this in a releasable alpha version.

Ok,went with the Alpha advice.

Works very well minus that it fades to blue. Anyway to get a fade to black ?

I never would have guessed the answer was that simple. Took me a couple of hours after reading the alpha comments in the Help | Index to hack up this code then was defeated but such a minor oversite.

You should consider becomming a mod L.I.T

As usual, thank you very much for such insanely prompt replies.

Glad you got it working. Haven't been a member long enough to be a mod though I don't want to be. Don't like responsibility that much. We have great mods now.
