I think it would be awesome to have on you're profile a personal showcase that would be a list of all the games you've made and you could provide give a short description, have links to download it and a screenshot of it.

All the stuff would have to be hosted off thegamecreators of course, but it would be cool to be able to see everyone's games in a professional layout.

All that would be needed is some HTML to resize a hotlinked image into a little frame, be able to put some text there and give a link.

All that would be needed is for people to actually finish their games

agreed, I wasn't saying anything about the portfolio idea.. I mean manticore's reasoning.. just because you don't have something completed certainly doesn't make you a newb..

If you have nothing to show it does.

well I've been in the DB community for about four years and haven't really finished anything.. a lot of good starts, a lot of really helpful functions I've made for myself.. I've made a few utilities for my own uses.. And I could probably program circles around a few people here, but certainly I wouldn't consider myself a newb just because I haven't finished a game for people to play^_^

Here is one thing I would add to the portfolio :
You can check boxes to say you're a modeller, programmer, ...
And one special box to say that you are available.

then there would be a little search engine that allows people to look for special people, and you could pm them if they are set on available.

Just my two cents.

Yeah. Great Idea.

You could have one for games, applications, models, sounds etc.
