Heres my entry for the compo. just basicly a 3d version of snake.
i've had little time to focus on it but half term is comming up so that should give me one last week to finish it.

as some might notice.. im not very good at modeling so im using the basic objects.. im hopeing to get a few models of my own by the deadline tho.

i've attached a screen shot of it and should be releaseing a demo soon.

im not very good on ideas so if anyone has any ideas i would be grateful if you could share them

will be updateing soon,
Elliot

Looks pretty cool.
Does it float above the ground or go up and down with it?

it follows the ground going up and down hills. the cameras are computer controled and are nice and smooth.
if anyone is intrested i can put up a beta now.

you can now download the beta from http://www.elliot-dickerson.co.uk/snake.rar
if you look at the screen shot in the last post you'll see i've added shadows.. however these do slow down the fps a lot. could you kind forum users test this and report back your fps.

thanks in advance,
Elliot

Crashes for me.

What do I do at the menu? Press space?

space or the return key should work.

the only bugs i am aware of at the moment is:
1) selecting map in the options section of the menu does not work(it isnt finished)
2) there are some collision/placement bugs(placeing the cubes in the walls etc..)

well.. after the chaos that has gone on its finaly up

http://www.elliot-dickerson.co.uk/snakeexe.rar

ill get a screen now.

controls:
left and right arrows = turn snake left and right
1 & 2 = change camera around
(on menu) space or enter = select

you can change the map in the options

if you look at the map files i think you'll soon guess how to make your own maps
