Newcomers DBPro Corner / sprite not showing up in 800x600 mode

well I'm flumuxed.. (using DB PRO)

when I put the res to 800 x 600 the sprite attached to the mouse pointer becomes nothing but a speck on the screen, anyone got any idea why this is happening?

its probably something really stoopid but help would be appreciated..

stripped code underneath..

set display destroys all visual media

use load image after set display
