What is the best location or folder to put my media files ? I have them in a separate folder at them moment and have to type in a long address to get my bmp's,models loaded. Im not sure where I can put them int the DB folder so that I can access them without the long addresses and with the ability to do a final compile that will include them. The files vary from wav to bmp files.

Thanks in advance.

Actually, I put mine in a folder named Data in the same folder as my project. To load the media, you would put in something like:

load object "Data\yourfilehere.x",1

Then, you can go to the media tab and add Data\*.* to the files included in the .exe.

I generally use a folder structure like this in my game folder:

media
media/sound
media/music
media/images
media/objects

Some of those may have other subfolders, depending on the complexity of the media type.

Although it's more typing, it keeps things neat, which makes things easier in the long run.
