Just thought I'de introduce myself to the community.

I Just bought DBC and overall I'm pretty impressed.

In half an hour I was moving a camera over a matrix with inertia.

I'm not really a programming noob. I develop web-apps for a living but doing game type stuff is pretty new to me.

Gotta say the editor is pretty basic though. I'de love to see some sort of contextual syntax hints and fancy gubbins like that.

Can anybody point me towards some decent tutorials?

Welcome to the comunity.

First thing with DBC is to ditch the default editor. Go to the showcase and download DarkEDIT. Actually, DarkEDIT may have come with your copy of DBC (it did with mine.) You'll be much, much, happier with it.

The best tutorial I found for DBC is the Binary Moon Limit Rush tutorial on this site.

Cheers.

Welcome mr. new person.

The best tutorial you can find for DBC, i think is the one that comes in the small book with the DBC package. It taught me a lot of how to do general things.

The 3d chat is coming...
In the meantime, come in the IRC. Ask me for details!!.

Thanks for the advice guys and gals.

I'll take a butchers at that editor.

i bought the electronic version of DBC so I didn't get the book. I'll trawl the forums if I need to find info about stuff. Seems like there's something about everything here.
