I've only just got back from holiday, I looked out the plane window as I went overhead but saw but cloud

Anyway, sorry if I've missed some large write up elsewhere but:

- Impressions on DarkSDK? How much was revealed? Any screens?

- Any more info on FPSC? More screens, perhaps? See anything interesting?

Thanks

I'm still hoping it will be out at the end of the week - comes with documentation (I think), and looks rather useful. I will be seeing if it works with VS .Net

Of what ? FPSC ? If so, its all in the public domain - According to Lee, it will be able to handle uneven surfaces, non-rectangular rooms, breakable windows and things.

The editors in 3D...

(FPSC) Did you see anything? Was it demo-ed? If so did you take any screens?

Yes

No

I just saw Ravey's DarkSDK demo (which I cant find any more), and a quick bit of the help file. Mike's hopefully going to finish it soon (apparently its being modified so executable can be built without the need to give them the DLL's).

Yes, DarkSDK is the only thing that's got me interested lately. I've been pestering Mike for the 'TPC Dev Kit' for over a year, and I take it DarkSDK is what it has now become. Despite Mike originally telling me it was going to be released in February, I'm quite excited that it's finally coming out in the open.

Could you elaborate? What exactly did you see? Anything that impressed you? Any nifty features?

Its all there - the most interesting is that parts of it could generate DBPro code...

The downside to DarkSDK is that IanM is going to take his C++ interface library offline a bit beforehand. This is to give the SDK a clean run.

I can understand the logic. However, surely TGC should be fixing all the remaining bugs before releasing a SDK?

Well, it would be nice if Mike could start looking at the Bugs forums again, although I've got a feeling that wont happen until the beta of FPSC is out

Not until there's an official release date for the SDK at the very least, but I won't be releasing the latest one either (all that hard work for the extras I've added! ).

What you don't know is that I'm going to use the Jedi mind trick on you to make you release it.

The Bear: "You do want to release the latest version."

IanM: (slightly dazed) "Er, I do want to release the latest version."

The Bear: "This is not the DarkSDK you are looking for."

IanM: "Er, right."

Would be nice - I dont see why not, as the AT system has been fixed.
