This just shows how easy it is too make a space game. All this is mine and it only took about 10 mins too make. The moon orbits the earth and the earth slowly rotates.

Yeh. The other few planets are too far back. I just want to know if this would be good enough as Freeware or is it just crap? It only took ten minutes. This second screenshot is about 15 minutes work of coding. I am trying to improve it but thanks for your reply.

It is impossible to tell if this product will be any good after less than half an hours work. It isn't really even Work In Progress.

This is made with DB Classic not DBpro. But take a look at the attachment. It's starting to look better.

They look like photos.(I hope) But trust me, they're not. Just a few minutes messing around with lighting. The scales are alright but my brother just saw the shot with the Moon and Earth in it and thought they were next to each other. Ok he is 7 but thats looking from the moon to the earth at it's normal distance. If that makes any sense at all. Just feel free to comment - bad or awful?

Well, they do look cool, but you will need a lot more content before you can decide if it will be worth giving away as freeware. For something to be considered freeware I think it has to be a useful program, or decent game...

Those are really nice looking planets, but the planets are not the hardest part. The sun effects, atmosphere, gaseous clouds, asteroids, and rings are the more difficult aspects of the graphics in a space simulator.

You also must think...will someone find this program useful? What will it have that other similar programs do not?

Thanks Bolt. The sun is what I'm working on now. I'm glad you like the planets though because that's really all I've got now. I'm going to have some problems with the sun. Hey. I just thought of something. If I had DBpro, when the moon gets bettween a light(sun) and the earth you could have an eclipse and it should be easy.

Graphics may not make a game, but they make a nice framework for certain types . That looks pretty good.
