Hi all

How would I calculate the dampening effect seen on hovercrafts when they change heights and sort of bounce off the air ?

pseudo code I have
if ypos < getterrainheight + offset ( hover height )
curvvalue offset

however this does not work, I hope the pseudo code helps, as I have my code at home.

I am trying to curvalue the craft back to its desired offset from the ground.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Erick

who cares ? Cant someone just help ? My browser freaked out on me, and there was a double post, I am sorry, but hey, life goes on right ?

I notice this behaviour on too many topics, people ask for help, and are ridiculed.

If you cannot help, then fine.

Sorry, wasnt trying to damage your emotional balance...
I'll help you:

if y<getterrainheight + offset ( hover height )
ny=curvevalue(getterrainheight + offset,y,50)
endif
position object obj,x,ny,z

Hope it's what your looking for.
