I'm trying to learn how I can import my own terrains a .x files and I can do that but now I want to keep my sphere ontop of the terrain so I use intersect object(...,...,...,...,...,...,...) but im doing something wrong because it never places itself on the terrain

intersect object tells you distance from source position, which in your case is 5000 units up, so if ground is at height 123, you are positioning at 5000-123. You need to do 5000-intersect...
