For those of you who know of TDK Man (The Maker of Matedit, the unfinished Matedit Pro, Air Defence, and loads of other programs), I haven't seen him in DB Forums for a long time. Even his webpage hasn't been update for nearly a year. He was supposed to release his project Matedit Pro, which seemed like an awesome project. Either he dropped Matedit or maybe he just completely dropped Db. Any body aware of his disappearance?!

Maybe he got hit by a car

No sreiously though, I've been wonderin the same thing as you, and it sucks, because I was thinking of buying Matedit, not too sure..

this should be in general chat, but the last I saw of him was when I was helping to beta test his puzzle game, maybe he got lured away by some tasty senorita (he lived in Spain IIRC).

Mentor.

PC1: P4 3ghz, 1gig mem, 3x160gig hd`s, Radeon 9800pro w cooler (3rd gfx card), 6 way speakers.
PC2: AMD 2ghz, 512mb ram, FX5200 ultra, 16 bit SB.

Lol, well from what I understand the guy is really old. like nearly in his 60's I believe. Maybe his age "stunted" his programming career, or yes maybe he met some hot 60 year old and he just party's all the time.

I don't think he's that old, I thought later 30s or early 40s.

He hasn't been on MSN in months, and HAsn't updated his site or forums in months either, so he just up and disappeared.

Originally, he put MatEdit Pro on hold because he was told by TGC that the features he needed for it would not be implimented untill Patch 6 or 7 or so, and I would say that because of that, he got bored waiting, and maybe found a new hobby.

Jess.

Maybe he was slaving over MatEdit Pro, day and nite, day and nite, for about like 6 months, till the police broke down his door and found him lying on the floor, gibbering... 'Eh.. must.. create plugin system... must.. create... PLUGIN SYSTEM..', to which he jumped into the air, glowing a kinda freaky green glow, and 'APRIL FOOLS' oh i dunno maybe he's dead. Period.

hm 60 years.. 40years.. 30years.. I have always though he was at my age, 17, but when I think again, he programmed with atari.. maybe hes 25?

and I think that maybe he was sitting in his room all alone when he suddenly got this idea to create the worst game anyone has ever seen.
infact it became so violent and ugly that all the nabours though he had gone mad. and late one night when he slept he heard something outside his door... whsipering... what was that? tdk man put his hand on the lamp to turn the light on. took his left foot out of the bed. stamped it down on the floor and hit the electrric toothbrush he used the other night. the sound became stronger and stronger. he couldnt breath. the eggs where still cooking. he took up a knife and stabbed it in his pillow where he had layed, hoping, beggin for the sound to stop. and when it finnaly did his mind wouldnt function properly becouse all he could think of was the sound. the sound of screams, the sounds of plagues, the sound of a kid getting hit by a train. the look in his dads eyes the day before he left. he could only do one thing. but he didnt feel like doing it. legendary pink dots was playing a record in his stereo. the light turned off and he fell back to sleep. noone knows wwhen he will wake up. and what the ! am I talking about?? maybe someone who had played postal 2 thought that what you do there can be done for real? so he/shemale unzipped hers/his pants and peed. tdkman was not alone in the room. he woke up again and looked around. that was a strange dream.

wont be long now until he comes here and telling us all that he had a really strange dream that he was this sort of legendary programmer who had written a program called matedit and everybody liked it becouse it was so genious. but I dont know what I am saying anymore. my fingers write on their own willl.

I think somebody threw him inside a sattelite that was on its way to mars for an endless looking for life. crashing in a... dude! I dont want to write anynmomer

its me n0id!

He'll be back, they all come back...

It's not unusal for him to disapear for ages then make a post about his progress, he's one of those people that don't usually came on the forum without something to show us - he's probably just waiting for DBPro developments, although I have no idea what he could be waiting for in DBPro unless it's a problem with compatibility. I remember him complaining about having no bitmap image saving, but that's hardly a project killer - I imagine he's got around that with his own saver/loader by now.

Ummm...

Not dead I'm afraid...

No police raids...

No hot seƱoritas (unfortunately)...

No big holes...

I can't even claim to have had a system crash and lost all my data (I've kept backups on CD for years).

Nope - just had a number of major Delphi projects which I've been working on for a very long time and not had time to do anything else.

Nearing the finish now so I'll be pottering around with DB again pretty soon! I've got a yearning to get MatEdit Pro back on track and I've just downloaded the latest DB Pro update ready to get started...

BTW - as for the age? I'll be 46 in 12 days, so don't go pensioning me off just quite yet!...
