Does anyone know how to make a level with a .x file or something. Then add collision and textures. Or is .3ds better?

Have a look at the cartography shop section for an excellent indoor modeller for levels...
Also look at levelmaker.co.uk or have a search in these very forums for level maker (or making) and see what results you get....

There are bsp level loading commands in the World section of the help file, monkeyboy.

There are lots of ways to do levels w/o bsp. Cartogrophy is a great example, but you could also check out the tutorials here. There's one on creating your own dungeon level (rudimentary, but effective).

I have the Delgine level maker. But I always get errors whenever I try to compile the .x file into .bsp.

Get nuclear glory's collision dll and use it with .X levels. I like DeleD for level design, but anything that makes .X objects will do (Milkshape, for example... thos I wouldn't reccomend it for level design)

That's what I do

Yes, and MatEdit for matrix editing That plus a little "get matrix height" magic for the collision (such as it is...)
