my school is trying to make c# a required course and they are trying to put it on macs (despite my attempts to tell them its for windows). is it easy to learn if i have to next year?

anyone can be a hero, but a soldier can be a hero five minuets longer....

C# is the successor to C++, but with slightly friendlier syntax. I wont say its easy or hard to learn as that would depend on the individual trying to learn it. Having a year head start should help however.

well there are just thinking about it so idk maybe ill try to find a free compiler in the other programing forum

For free C# [And other .NET languages] Get the .Net Framework, and Sharp Develop, because the framework includes compilers for a number of .Net lanuages [Inc. c#] and SharpDevelop is an IDE for the very purpose

Ok, now I get why C is called C, and why C++ is called C++, but why is C# called C#?

the standard inc command for C++ is to put ++ after hte variable.

Thats sounds like a good enough reasone to name it C++ to me.
