I wrote this demo a while back. I was trying to recieve data from a microcontroller over a serial cable. I thoughht this might work well if someone was wanting access a GPS or modem directly.

I never tested the transmit so if you have problems email me. Also feedback is appreciated.

Hi Again

Just wondering if it was worth submitting to the codebase. Has anyone tried it? Does it work the way it should?

Thanks

Zone,
Although I haven't tested it, nor have any use for it, I did go over the code, and I can appreciate the work you have put into it. As I know all too well, setting up API and other Win32 calls in DBP can be somewhat tedious without being able to pass types.

So, Props to you

And, of course! Stick it in the CodeBase! For those that don't browse the forum often, this could be more than usefull!

Jess.

I finally tried transmitting data to my Earthmate GPS and I confirmed that WriteFile is working properly.

Thanks for the props Jess, and Matt I would like to hear how your project turns out.
