ok. i never make 2d games or remakes of any sort. therefore, this is a double first for me. its not exactly finished, and it doesnt have menues or anything like that. you also have to press the esc button to get out even after you have killed everything. made in dbp with the help of gimp and mspaint. any comments are DIMMANDED! no matter how awfully demanded is spelled.

cool i guess. i mean this seems pretty sloppily' thrown together. No death animations..just game over quickly. no health!..however the rest is cool..and i think the ships should move faster..and back and forth instead of about 2 pixels over at a time

this is just to test the engine for now. if figure that once i put the finishing touches into the engine that that would be the time to add things like health/lives, death animation and multiple levels. in higher levels, the speed will change. i have had some friends play it and they said that it was too fast at the speed its at now, so im still not sure if i should slow it down or not. a fiew more opinions would, however, help me decide wether or not the first level should go faster....

Things to do:
1) Smoother movement for enemies.
2) Use an array for friendly lasers allowing for multiple shots fired.
3) Add a mothership with a timer.
4) Use an array for enemy lasers allowing for multiple shots fired.

i was kinda goin for a old space invaders type game, but if you think i should smooth the movement i will try it.

I had it to where the tank was able to shoot multiple bullets at once, hoever, i didnt like it that way. i felt that having only one bullet caused the player to be penalized for missing a shot considering that the shot had to go out of the screen for them to shoot again. i will upload that version in a little while*

i figured that was the sort of thing that would need to be saved until later levels, as sort of a boss.

just did that a moment ago. i also made the range of the ships larger so that they not only shoot when they are above you, but now they shoot when they are near you, thus sending bullets in front and behind you. i will upload that as well, in a little while*

thank you for your help so far. while i am working on these changes, please keep the comments and stuff coming.
