The thing I look forward to most in FPSC is the AI programming of enemies.

Will there be a special debug or test mode for AI scripts, where the user can watch the AI, and watch what finite state it's in etc, and watch where it might plan to go next?

Will it be possible to program and try different path-finding techniques?

Will stealth tactics be possible? Like will the player be able to sneaky up behind a AI guard with a bat and knock him out while the player takes his gun, and have him wake up after a couple minutes?

I pretty sure you are able to script such things, since even the menu that FPSC generates is all scripts.

Just to raise one point that is touched on here, but I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else - that are currently NO melee weapons in FPS Creator.

That means no HL style crow-bars, knives or baseball bats, etc.

Just thought I ought to mention this incase people assume there are.

Cheers,

Rich

Can you fake it? Say set a weapon to a range of one meter and have a shot animation that looks like a melee attack?

Good question, honestly don't know the answer. I would assume not (at the moment), but I'll find out next week for you.
