My game is in progress it is called BigFighter- i have some screenshots it at my website www.freewebs.com/bigfighters
this is gonna be the best game ever-and it 2d
you can post some comment or what you want be to put in the game
am still working on the enemy and the player blast and there blast anim

Fix that god damn website.

You have the pictures saved as .bmp and they are HUGE, so they load so slow. Save them as JPEG for Christ's Sakes!

no, its actaully pretty plain. and seeing as you ripped the images off of little fighter (which i assume is what you are making) there isn't much great in your game. but keep it up, if you can make a lil fighter clone thats still something, but word of advice don't go saying stuff like

so far i havent really seen anything interesting and i have a question about starting a game by making the menu that does not seem like a really good place to start
but if he keeps working then maybe it will be a good game

Little Fighter 2 was a nice game though. I think i still have it on my hard drive somewhere....

Dude, I feel so bad for you, tell you what. Goto http://www.1001fonts.com and find a font that matches your "Big Fighter" and I will design you a logo using that font for you, with the "Motion/Drag" effect.

The pic didnt work the other time now it worked i updated the in game screen shots ok more update is coming soon..........
and i cant update no more code to the gmae no more cause my trial version run out am about to buy the full version.

Ahhhh! Your sites formating is a bit wierd... but then again you used frontpage. I dunno if it makes much difference but here is the human coding of your site:

It probly wont make much of a difference if you use it or not. But with this version the counter and copyright info doesnt stretch the screen. I also think the text is a little more aligned. I think this looks the same, but it might not because I just switched to Firefox.
Edit: OMG my code snippet looks deformed!!! Anyone else see it as tiny dots?

As for the game.. DUDE!! I hate to critise in a negative way.. but come on.. Those graphics are ripped and..well.. "i'm not impressed".. yet..

If you're gonna rip a game, you REEEAALLLLYYYY need to make it better. I haven't seen/heard/played Little Fighter but this thread says good things about it. I currently am not seeing so much "good" in this rip.. P L E A S E _ P R O V E _ M E _ W R O N G!!!!!

ok the big was copy and pasted the fighters are ripped and the whole game sofar looks like a bunch of pictures cut and pasted together no offense but im probably right but if im wrong prove it

Ripped graphics are fine, so long as you're not selling the game, and as long as you make something that looks impressive. I mean, check what Emporer Baal had got done with his Megaman clone when he posted in WIP...

I agree.. Ripped games in a private envirnoment (ie not commercial) is absolutely fine as long as you dont "give them a bad name"

Yup. I agree with that too.. Kinda..

Currently I'm gonna be blunt and say it IS crap.. There is a menu and a primitive looking "game" screenshot. HOWEVER I see potential for a good game. It may very well turn out to not be crap..

Hamish is right.. Its best not to claim the best game in the world if its not technically a game yet..

You could have, at the time, claimed the prize for "the most average menu in the world" (J/K)

Hehe.. Dont you read ANYTHING we say?

There is nothing wrong with "ripping" image, etc.. However it doesn't look so good when you rip and image and dont "do it justice".. I personally dont care if the images came from Little Fighter, your pen or my arse!! The point was, it may be a little early to be claiming "the best game ever" with very little to show apart from some.. lets change the word.. "borrowed" images, a menu and not that much else.

On a lighter note - how is the game coming on? Any recent progress? I'd like to try it when its done.

That sounds a good idea - would give it your own touch then.

Is it going to be a sort of 1vs1 street fighter type fighting game? What are you gonna do to make it different for other games in it genre? Do you have any info or idea's you are "willing" (for want of a better word) to share?

The logo wasn't the problem it was that the menu was just text after the logo, change the logo back to the old one and add in some inice background and replace the text with sprites to have a nicer menu, and a few other things.

There is only one way to package shaolin: Shaolin Soccer...

We have NOTHING against "ripped" images or whatever.. The fact is your work at that point wasn't really anything to write home about. It just looked a little shoddy.

That title is ok, what did you use to make it? I think it would look good with some transparency (I'm obsessed with transparency.. Which is unfortunate, as DB seems to have issues with transprency sometimes in my experienec).
