1) Is DarkBASIC Pro the current best total game development software available? Honestly, is DarkBASIC Pro better then Blitz Basic 3D, Truevision 3D, 3D Game Studio, gameSpace1.5 and all the others? And if so why?

3) Can a true beginner such as myself. Who has absolutely no game design and or programming experience or knowledge use DarkBASIC Pro?

4) Is DarkBASIC Pro capable of developing an ice hockey game. That is equal to or above, EA Sports and ESPN 2K Hockey caliber quality?

5) Is the DarkBASIC Beginners Guide for true beginners? If I purchase the DarkBASIC Beginners Guide. Will it teach me everything I need to master DarkBasic from A-Z?

6) If I purchase both the DarkBASIC Pro software and the DarkBASIC Beginners Guide as a bundle pack. Am I entitled to receive the 30% or any type of discount like the DarkBASIC offer?

1) That depends on you I think. Some prefer one, some prefer the others.

2) Where is the number 2 ?

3) Yes, but don't expect to create huge games in one day. You will begin with some easy things like PRINT "Hello world"

4) I think so ... but I doubt a bedroom programmer can do it alone. (the games you told were not created by one and only person)

5) Sorry, I can't answer to this, I never used the DarkBASIC Beginners Guide

6) I have no idea.

5) I bought the guide and was really disappointed. If you already know anything about programming then I'd avoid it. If you don't then it seems a good intro, but it's in no way an in depth instruction book...

actually the guide is pretty good for begginners such as myself...but when it gets to the 3d section it really lets u down..not much help at all.

I wouldn't be so paranoid if people would just stop looking at me!

1) Is DarkBASIC Pro the current best total game development software available? Honestly, is DarkBASIC Pro better then Blitz Basic 3D, Truevision 3D, 3D Game Studio, gameSpace1.5 and all the others? And if so why?

A) that depeneds... it is to me right now

3) Can a true beginner such as myself. Who has absolutely no game design and or programming experience or knowledge use DarkBASIC Pro?

A) of course you can... it makes it easier if you've programmed before.. but darkbasic's coding language simplify's coding make it really easy... like if yoou want a cube made... type "Make object cube"

4) Is DarkBASIC Pro capable of developing an ice hockey game. That is equal to or above, EA Sports and ESPN 2K Hockey caliber quality?

a) I think it is... aslong as you've got a team the size of what EA Sports had when their game was made.. then you can do it. Darkbasic can probably handle the code.

5) Is the DarkBASIC Beginners Guide for true beginners? If I purchase the DarkBASIC Beginners Guide. Will it teach me everything I need to master DarkBasic from A-Z?

a) seeing as i knew allot of programming languages before i started Dark Basic... i did'nt need the guide.. i suggest you try the monster hunt tutorial before you get the book though

6) If I purchase both the DarkBASIC Pro software and the DarkBASIC Beginners Guide as a bundle pack. Am I entitled to receive the 30% or any type of discount like the DarkBASIC offer?

I dont think you can right now... but there are other bundle sets you can buy

and ofcourse like it was said above... start small.. but luckly in darkbasic "small" can be a 3D shooter... (there is a tutorial for a 3D shooter included with DARKBASIC PRO , although the tutorial is not good itself.. it includeds code for each section of the tutorial... so you can look at the actuall code

5) Buy the guide if your new to programming. It helps you get started but it does not cover everything.

Note: The above I didn't say, your just crazy.

1)DarkBASIC Pro is the best beginner 3D programming language, people can create much more stunning applications after years of experience and maybe even with professional software like Visual Studio.NET

2)Hopefully you know your match skills, 2 comes after 1, 3 does not come after 1

3)Yes, you just need to be willing to learn and understand logic and have pretty good math skills.

4)Big programs like that cannot be done alone, many programs that are to publishing standards require many team members.

5)

For DarkBASIC yes, but for DarkBASIC Pro, no. The book is made to give you the basic idea of the DarkBASIC programming language, although it does include examples in DBC and DBP it does not go to far into particle, or expansions/upgrades. I started out with the book once I bought DBP and I was very glad I did, it taught me all the basics I needed. If you do buy it, buy it from Amazon.com and you can get if for about 40% off or more, I got my copy for $35 from their (click the new and used button for the product)

6)I don't think DBP and the book can be combined into one package but you can get some sort of discount by buying the software from the game creators and buying the book from amazon.com.
