...who missed me? No one, of course

Well hey, I'm a senior in high school and I've applied to a few colleges (universities if you'd prefer). They are as follows:

Rochester Institute of Technology: Pending
University of Pittsburg: ACCEPTED 10/18
Ohio State University: Pending
Johnson & Wales University: ACCEPTED 10/25

As you can see, of those 4, I've been accepted to two. I'll probably end up going to Pitt since RIT is a private school and has really, really high standards for incoming freshmen. I also plan on going for my master's in Computer Science. At RIT, you can get your bachelor's and master's in 5 years! That's why I'd love to go there...any collgebound people here should check it out.

Well that's all I've got for now. What'd I miss? Did those guys give up on the 3D chat room yet?

You missed the competition deadline, the 3D chatroom progress temporarily grind to hault, three spammers, and about two hundred MMORPG project requests.

But it's nice to see you around again after mysteriously disappearing.

Stalled, resumed, stalled again. No idea how it's doing right now you'd have to ask cattle.

HZence,

I'm from Pittsburgh. Pitt is a pretty good school. Nice mix of education and party school.
Where are you from?

Lancaster, PA (as my location reveals...'the ghetto of amish country, usa'). I also know that Pitt is one the best state schools in Pennsylvania, and that they have a really good computer science program. If I end up going there, maybe I'll see you sometime. Heh.

Ken's being worked to the bone right now between work and college; so don't expect anything soon. Poor guy needs another drinking holiday

To put all the rumors to rest:

There was a point that progress screeched to a halt with DarkTOPIA. That is no longer the case. We are quite close to releasing this. The biggest hold up was the GUI issues (prior to Kentaree taking it over) Now that those issues are resolved K will have a version of it to me soon. Mnem and I in the meantime have modified some client and server issues, as well as a few very important "back-end" issues. The only problem now is MikeS is not seemingly available to do the 3d stuff. At this point that will be the only hold up I see. (MikeS, sorry if I am not accurate on your situation but we havent spoken in quite a while - we need a team irc meeting asap)

Don't be surprised if suddenly there appears a DT web site and a 24/7 server to connect to, very soon...

stay tuned to the WIP thread for development details.

Thanks
