just another unpleasant murder (as they all are), there are thousands a year, a murderer lives in your town/city right now, you might even work with him/her or pass them every morning, I don`t get why this gets so much coverage, there have been way worse over the years.

Mentor.

PC2: AMD 2ghz, 512mb ram, FX5200 ultra, 16 bit SB.
Mini ATX cases suck.

I think it was the fact that laci was pregnant that it got so much media coverage, but the sad fact is that crimes like this are happening every day.

A few factors--

--His wife was not only pregnant, but the child was eight months along. I believe most marital murders are commited either after the child is born or when it is early along.

--There was so much damn evidence against him it was ridiculous he didn't plead guilty.

--His emotionless demeanor made him perfect for the media spotlight.

And then it's just the roll of the dice; I'm sure similarly dramatic murders happen a lot, but the media latched on to this one.
