I've been playing America's Army for a while now and have been telling my firend about it. Unfortunatly two of them have really slow connections, so can't really download the game.

Can I just write the installed AA files from my computer, to a disk then give it to them? Well, I could do this, what I actually mean is would this work? I really don't want to spend four hours downloading the installer again.

The game is free, so this wouldn't be breaking any copyright laws.

You'll need to copy all resistry keys also, and any aditional files installed.

For most games, just copying the program files folder will work. Sometimes there might be other files, but unfortunately the only way to find out is to try it.

Get Getright! It saves a copy of the .exe when it's done downloading, this allows you to just find it, and copy it to a disc, did you save the .exe anywhere? Try looking for it, maybe in Downloads?

I've deleted the installer already, having a 700MB+ file just sitting there doing nothing isn't exactly the greatest use of my hard drive. I guess I could try, I don't see why there should be any registry keys, after all it's a free game what would they need to write to my registary?

Yes you can do this...i did it...just copy the files you downloaded onto a CD

use WinRAR so it can be split into two parts (it has an option of the max part size...set it to 600 MBs)

Anyway i've been playing it for 4+ months! what's your name on it? (mines [11W]Hunter..33 honor )

just ask them to send a copy to you. All you have to do is pay shipping and handling. Plus you get the actual game case too, how cool is that, lol.
