so whats the story about PS2's HardDrive is it for sale seprate from FFXI? Is that the only game that can use it? Can you save games to your HD now like xbox? Can you save music and what not on it? Any one know anything about this? Thanks

Can you get hard drives for PS2s?

I thought it was memory cards!

PS2 Harddrives are only avliable in the US and Japan (I think).

You can't purchase them seperate. It is kind of odd really.
Linux for Playstation 2 comes with a 40GB HD
Final Fantasy XI comes with a 60GB HD

Considering thier the only things capable of utilising it, it isn't exactly an emergency to need one.
It's the same with the MagicGate technology on the MemoryCards, it was designed to encrypt downloadable data from the internet, or movies and audio as the PS2 was suppose to be the Living Room version of a Personal Computer. Didn't pan out though.
