I am very new at this so be kind.

I am programming a game in DBPro and I made an icon (with a .ico extention) in 256 colors. I set the icon to be the program's icon
but the icon looks hideous on the exe. I think that it changed it to 16 colors. Is there any way to keep this from happening?

If it was me, I wouldn't know it.

I probably didn't post this in the right place.

Heh. I used a BMP image as my icon and yes, it looks terrible beside the EXE. It converts the image to 16 colours - what's up with that? Any way to avoid it?

I don't know why it does this. But If you search ResHack on google, that program may be able to do what you need.

Just Compile Then open the .Exe with ResHack, and you *should* be able to change it like that.
