hey

Just got XP (previously had ME - ergh), but the window text size is far too small, how do I change it?

So far I've went into the display properties (where the themes are) to the appearance tabs and selected extra large fonts; all the text gets bigger except the window text. I've even went into the advanced properties to try and enlarge it, but theres no option to change the window text size.

At the minute I can bearly see what I'm typing, so please help

Should be in Display > Appearance > Advanced > MessageBox
this though depends on EXACTLY what you want to improve the size of.

I can change all of the text sizes except the actual window's text size.

For example IE's text is like at font size 8 or 10 (which I can't enlarge using IE's text size in the view menu - strange), also in explorer its the same text size, and in other apps too.

In ME I used to be able to specify the window text size, but in XP I can't!

Any help is appreciated

Heres a bit more to what Raven said:

Display>appearance>advanced>Active or Inactive Titlebar from drop-down list>Change text size or font for window

Some applications may override what the system says for title font, but most of them will use the system defaults.

ok, I did that, but the window text stayed the same, and only the windows title got larger. In the preview it showed the window text had enlarged, but it didn't.

Looks like I may have to decrease the screen resolution just to make the text big, something I'd rather not do (800x600x32 is not great)

Any other suggestions?

Did you press okay in the advanced window, and apply before you pressed okay on the display window?

@ 1tg46
Yes I have pressed okay in the advanced window and apply.

@ Chris K
I've alreadt tried that - infact it was the first thing I did; all the text sizes increase except the window text sizes.

I've included a picture to show you what I want to change (I've circled it red), just incase I haven't explained it clear enough. I've also tried all suggestions so far, but none have worked.

If anyone has any more ideas please post

If you just want it for Firefox / IE then hold control and roll the mouse.

Otherwise, I don't know.
