My latest Game. I will post info. I will also post models, and demos.
Ok, first, info:
Game Genre: RTS
Work done on demo: models: 30% Menu:90% Sound: 0% Music: 0% GUI: 30%

We have not done sound, because we have no guy with a military voice, and no music because no composer. Modelling we have almost done all the buildings. Menu, we just have to finish our work with options, and GUI is the in-game menus (we will probably code them, or if in a hurry get blueGUI), the reason we have not done unit models is because we really cant animate or create humaniods. We attached on of the screen shots....I will attach more.
I will show the really old menu demo.....I have to recompile it....I deleted it for the new ones.

http://programmersunited.com/DEMO.exe
That is the demo.
I tested it for spy ware and viruses, but if you get an error....post.
I will attach more screenies to other posts. They will include:
Old Versions of the models
Screenies of this build
soon I will get my new models.....and we will hopefully post the demo in january....or December if we push our selves...
Comments welcome....

I know. All of this was made in minutes, and not a lot of thought put into it, and that is why they are OLD shots......

are you by any chance, Programmer Xtreme? Or his "cousin"? Gonna download when I get home, like to see some of your work.

[edit] those textures need some work in my opinion, but there's worse out there.

I believe I admitted it in SEVERAL threads. Now can we please get back on topic. What does anyone think on the menu?

You really need to make the game before the menu, the menu is like the last thing you do practically.

Nice menu. It does the job of a basic menu

The particles check box dont do anything tho.. Oh yeah, the gameplay aint great.. I get stuck of the first level - I cant defeat the "New Game!!" end-of-level baddy

All of what you said is in my knowledge. We have created "basic"(if you can even call it that) gameplay. But what you have to realise is, in our game our menu and gui is so tightly linked to rts gameplay that it is almost gameplay.

I fail to see how a menu constitutes gameplay, a rts engine requires a quite a bit of coding and a menu doesnt make gameplay. This obviously isn't ready for a wip thread you should of waited.

I have gameplay, and I will post its screen shots. I have just been trying to perfect the gui. It takes forever to code a gui based off of pics that interact right, or it does for me. For my type of game it does. I will show you how.

Say you start the game. You would goto new game, and it would open a new menu. you select the options, and it would bring you up to the point to where when you start the game, these options are in effect. Now you wouldnt want those options to not work, right? now in game if you double click on a building or unit, it would open a menu to that unit. You would be able to upgrade that unit, ect....
These would go to gameplay. See?

Update:
I will post the new demo in 1-3 weeks. It just depends if any person will actually be able to model and animate units. Right now the gameplay lets you place some weird buildings and builds some cubes. I have got sound editing tools, so voice is moving fast. All is going as planned.....
