YAY! i finally get to post something here!
Here's a little sumthin im making to help teach me C# and windows forms in Visual Studio:
http://darwin.dbspot.com/WordProcessor.zip

I realize that most of the fonts arent great as i took a list off a site, my computer has about HALF of all the fonts you can use, and there are a few bugs as i rushed to get that blody change font type box thingy working so if you want to make me a list of fonts that i should use (or if you know a way to put a list of available fonts using C#...) just post it here

i've only managed to make it crash once tho, and i have no idea how.

Don't you wish you were that hot?

To retrieve a list of installed fonts you need to use the InstalledFontCollection class in System.Drawing.Text.

Example [cbFontList is a combobox]:

Hope this helps.

If you add a keyword highlighting thing, like just a list of words that get given a certain colour - it could be used for syntax highlighting in our own script systems. Very very handy, scripting in notepad not a lot of fun.

Have a think about scripting etc and how you could make life a little easier for people who end up using notepad - then it could be a very handy little app and would expand and teach you so much more (like when people start asking for features ).

Why don't you post something like this in BlueGUI official thread. And BlueGUI already has a word processor called Paddy, it came with BlueGUI in the Sample Applications folder.

1TG46,
I'm guessing your PC takes an age to boot up, right? .

no, I have a 2.8 ghrtz processor and it boots up in about 2 or 3 minutes. I just cant open the fonts folder, but all the fonts are useful for school assignments.

2 or 3 minutes is pretty slow! - my 1.6mhz machine boots in about 1 minute on Win2000Pro.

It's just that 3000 fonts is a lot, if you archived the ones you rarely need, you could boot up quicker and it might even boost your whole PC's performance.

The major thing that has affected the speed of my computer was installing Visual Studio.NET 2003 with MSDN code library full install. This has given my computer a major hit since I have a 40 gig hard drive, and I had 17 gig left before I installed VS.NET and MSDN, and now I am boardering 13 and 14 gig, at times at can't even open Microsoft Works, even though I usually use Microsoft Word, which I don't have any problem with.
