I am going to actually try to make a game. First of all I was wanting to know:

1. What the easiest 3d modeling maker is
2. What the best map maker there is
3. Where can I find a program that makes music and sounds
4. A really good tutorial.
5. All the above is free

If anyone could help me at all thank you! I know there is already a tutorial out. It has too many links. I get confused with too many links,

blender (www.blender3d.org) is good and free, but cryptic ; anim8tor (not sure exactly the url but its not hard to find) is good and easy to use; truspace 3.something is free now; and gamespace lite is free, but the renders are watermared and theres a polygon limit

www.anim8or.com ; for textures, find a program like lithunwrap ; sounds can be recorded with a mic from your computer, most have a program already included ; I have free tutorials here =>http://www.angelfire.com/games5/joecooning/tutorials/BTintro.html

Take a look at my post

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=30080&b=10

The best tool may not be the one everyone recommends, as each person has their own likings and needs about a tool, and there's a better modeller for some sort of models than other ones, for example, 3D Studio MAX (not free) is good for models, but it sucks somewhat for levels, and cartography shop (not free) was done for levels, but it sucks at game models, so there, it's better to experiment and see which one suits your needs and commodities.

Also, Joe, wouldn't you mind if I add a link to your tutorials in my post?

Go for it. I'm going to try and make 3d and 2d ones later. Maybe...
