While I do have fun constantly translating the homepage for my brother, I want to know if anyone here has experience with this product.

I've edited the Resource Tables so everything is in English in it, or well as English as I can make it; if anyone knows how to use it, knows of some sites for it and such (in english) it would be helpful to figure out some things.

Right now i'm a lil too busy to keep giving him help and figuring things out for him.. I did try to search myself but most of the sites on it are shut down. The older versions don't seem to have a problem finding information on though.

Also does anyone know if there is a version of RPG Maker 5 ( 2005 / 3D ) for the PC as it only seems to be on the PS2, which is frustrating as I don't know enough about Playstation formats to edit, and i'm pretty sure i'd have to hack rather than edit.
(not to mention doesn't make it very distribution or customisation friendly)

There's quite a large RPG Maker community and there's one bloke who always translates it into English, albeit, it's a very poor translation, but it's still the one everybody uses. I haven't been involved in that kind of stuff for years (not since Rm2k was released). I can't remember the site but just do some searches for resources such as Tilesets and Charsets and eventually one will link to the translation site or an English download. I needn't remind you that it is illegal though.

Well i've already translated it, by simply editing up the Resource Table.. once i have more time i'll translate the manual for my brother, as i'm pretty good at it now. Trick to translation isn't doing it word for word, but understanding the intent of a given sentance.

The only RPG community I found was x-rpg.net and rpgmaker.co.uk but the first is the one with everything taken down due to TOS breaking and the other is out of bandwidth.

I know ppl here use this silly program heh, just guess it's a case of waiting for those willing to admit it

The poor translation was because the guy was Russian.

Haven't seen a RPGmaker community in a while, most likely cause I haven't looked for one. Didn't even know there was a 2004 version.

Bleh, I've just given up on trying to think up signatures.

I actually got my hands on 2004 a while ago. It's not that great of an improvment over the older versions.

How much did it cost you? Because if I know how much it costs I may buy it and then get the english version.
Off topic, what's with that Angel of Darkness thing in your Sig, Raven?

Oh Tutorials. Sorry Thought you were translateing it. My mistake. For tutorials, I can not help you there. I learn the RPG maker programs by just useing them or looking at others source. You should check some Japanese sites. Just use like a site to translate the site for you.

But here is a link to XP Tut.

£35, but I had to Translate the Resource Table for the Menu's and such to be in English. (but I only did that on my brother's machine, as I can understand Japanese)

As for my signature.. it's probably nothing to worry about ^_^
