Is what people say about programmers actually true? About them drinking gallons of coffee, never sleeping, always paranoid, living in their own worlds and crap. If it is then, it sounds like something I can get in to.

Programming anything is an art, and you can't rush art.

Oh Necrum my friend it is much better, you can even completely shut out the 'real world' (if such a thing exists) and be left completely to yourself, living on nothing but energy drinks (coffe) and stale pizza.
Quite a good deal eh? All you have to give up your values in fitness, sociability and personaly hygene

I drink Coffee and Redbull all pull all night programming sessions. I live in the past and love sci-fi, comics and weird cartoons.

However I don't fit the sterotype in the fact I go out 2 nights a week, have a social life, and actually have a wife lol

lol, yes, this life sounds great. Coffee, stale pizza, staying up late, sacrificing life itself, giving in to your computer, living in your own world. I like it, where do I sign? and what type of coffee do you guys drink?

Although I do not reside in the UK, I agree with confused, Tea is the ultimate programmers drink. I actually load up on cereal for late night sittings, and ramen noodles aren't half bad either (mmm, mmm smell that MSG goodness).
