Nice job so far! Sparcely detailed, but since this is a WIP, I assume you will be doing something about that.

My input is that the terrain could use some variance (especially in texture), and the sky looks nice, but there's something just not quite right with it... maybe use a skybox instead? One great thing about your sky is that it blends really well into the distance. I've always had difficulties with that.

My points:
1) The terrain texture could do with being tiled a little larger to hide the fact its a tiled image.
2) I personally prefer the sky like that to people using skybox's... Although I agree it does mean you're gonna have to find a way to make it look less sparse.
3) Are you frame rate limiting to 56?
4) The lighting looks wierd, have you turned it all off? The terrain would look nice if you did a directional light at "-1, -1, 0" so its pointing down and to the side.. It'd make some sides of the terrain look in shadow (in theory). The building could also do with some texture.. But like Wendigo said, its a WIP so I assume these are all on your TO-DO list

Apart from that - looks like it could be a fun cartoony type game!

yeah, well this IS my FIRST project, thanks for the tips, but im a noob, i'll try my best

Erm... the ground is actually a matrix, not a terrain. I have to mess with the normals before i can do good terrain lighting...

Also, im using basic graphics until i finish the game, and my game is aiming more at gameplay than graphics anyways

awww, bob died....

It was just a picture of bob saget (funniest home videos, full house) and you shot him with a minigun. You had to shoot certain spots to blow them up. it was dumb, like most QB games.

@Benjamin
thanks, well, im gonna have 3 weapons for now, double revolver, shotgun and AK...

@Phaelax
i made a rubbish game like that a while ago, it was a pic of sonic. (dont get me wrong, the OLD sonic is cool, but the new sonic is a retard) and you get to shoot him with machine gun, shotgun or pistol..... all had infinite ammo, its just fun to mindlessly shoot something with a selection of weapons

YAY, AK:

WELL....thats all the weapons modelled, now to attempt stupid enemy AI again

Hmm, games coming along quite well ...

The problem that i have is graphics, its not really my strong point... i work mainly on gameplay, plus this is a 2-man project... so it takes ages to do stuff

@ Mind Storm 101
Shotguns my favourite , and AKs are the collest looking machine gun(in my opinion)

@ Nicholas Thompson
yay, shotgun rulez!

@ dj chainz
Thx, gameplay is more important than graphics in my opinion, but i guess you need both to make decent games :/, i tried the cinema 4d, its harder to use than 3d canvas, so im gonna stick to 3d canvas until i learn to use cinema 4d...

well your screeneis are 1024x768.. because DBPro resizes the image to the desktop resolution on ur fullscreen windowed mode (which is the fasted). Resize ur desktop to 640x480 for taking screenies.

I recommend running it in a proper window, it looks better unstretched.

Good job so far, looking... interesting

@ Mouse
Erm, what do you mean by a 'proper' window?

DO YOU PREFER SCREENSHOTS THIS SIZE?:

Dear god yes! They don't stretch the window also. It's less pain all around .

16kb is a bit small for a screenshot, feel free to lower the compression on the JPEGs if it's forum load times you're worrying about.

I personally prefer the larger ones.. But maybe just leave them as links to be opened in a browser? Just an idea..

Those smaller ones dont really show the detail in my opinion (Then again I am running at 1280x1024.. I can understand those using 800x600 may suffer a little more )

Yay, AI is...kinda working...
By the way, if you didnt notice, ACTUAL ingame screenshots always have all the numbers on the top left of the pic, when i pause the game and take a screenshot from a different view, the numbers arent there. So me actually playing is all the pics with numbers on the top left....and when the numbers arent there, i am taking it from an angle that looks good.... <cross-eyed>

Perhaps because the Kalashnikov is the most prolific Assault Rifle in the world. Dead reliable and proven. Plus they look cool
