Currently I use DarkbasicPro and Milkshape 3d

According to this thread http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=43468&b=7 and my own experience, 3DS format models seem to be more trouble than they are worth.

So my questions) are:
1) Can I export my bone based animations into .x format and use them in DB?
2) When using 3d animations in DB, can I attatch another object (eg, a sword) to a specific part of the model (eg, hand ) so that when the hand is moved, the sword object will also move?

Screw the rules...what can i blow up?

Yeah, but I couldn't tell you how to do it! I've read someone can get static .X models made in Milkshape into DB.. but it having trouble with animating.

good luck.

Yes there will be coding problems.

Yes and yes. I've never had any problems with bone animations (using 3D Canvas Pro) and there are commands to weld objects together. Glue Object to Limb comes to mind, but I know there are others. Finally, I would steer clear of .3ds, could never get those to work in dbpro.
