Whenever I load and play an animation file (ie. mov, avi) it plays the file, but it's also completely inverted, both horizontaly and verticaly.

Do I have to do anything else to it rather than this?...

load animation "file.type",1

play animation 1

wait key

This code plays it fine, but I don't see any other commands that would fix the problem I'm having here.

Thanks to those that reply.

Another way to describe it rather than "inverted" is more so "flipped" (inverted I think of more 3D or as in color).

I dont know anything abuot this section of DB, but do you "paste" the video to a plain? If so, are you viewing from the wrong side? Just a guess...

I didn't use the "play animation to image" command, so it should just be playing the file itself to the screen. I did think of using that command, however, to be able to then rotate the image it's playing on. But, the quality of the animation when pasting it to an image isn't good, so I'd like to just be able to play it normally without any flipping/inversion.

It seems I've made a mistake - AVI's seem to work, but not MOV files. I'd prefer MOV's too, as they seem to play smoother, but if I have to I guess I'll use an AVI atleast.

could be a bad codec.

Also, not everyone has the .Mov codec so i'd stick to a video file everyone can use. I know this cos my compo game used a non standard codec.

Yeah, that is true.

I've gotten my AVI file optimized to the point of looking good atleast and low enough to play decently (on my computer - and it's slow).

Only problem is, currently I got no program that deals with editing AVI's, unlike my MOV files. So if I want to add sound, I'll have to figure out how to include it when rendering it out in 3D Studio Max or load and play a sound along with the AVI in DBP.

I use a program called Lumiere Video Studio. The version I have was free off a CD. Also you could try Presto Video Works. That Is Also Free. (At Least It Was)
