Is the top part the HUD/GUI? If it is and is displayed all the time while your playing your field of vision is very constricting and makes people feel caustrophic. My feelings at least

Think what you like, you'll all be mine in the end.

The game is going to be all multiplayer. I modelled the tank myself(note it's not all great). You will have a total of 15 weapons. You have a 1000x1000 matrix to roam on. The special weapons are:

Ghost Of Death - Takes complete life from your tank if touched by it. You use this against your opponites.

Ghost Tank - Allows you to become invisible.

Untouchable - Makes you invanurable to anything for 1 minute, the only thing that can kill you is the Ghost Of Death.

looks pretty neat. nice and relatively simple.( i think its Van B who says k.i.s.s - keep it simple stupid!).
btw. color the backdrop the same color as the fog. the sky looks awful.

edit: or use a sky box (better idea).

coincidence? how about pure cosmic convergence!

yeah, i realised that having the fog the same color as sky may be to claustrophobic and seem too misty. Thats why i suggested a sky box. If you get a good looking sky box with the right colours and everything, it makes a huge difference.

coincidence? how about pure cosmic convergence!

ok but i don't know anything about sky boxes.... can someone tell me how to make one? Although I have already made the backdrop the same color of the fog.

I've attached a sky texture.
To make a simple sky, make a large sphere, turn culling off the object, load a sky texture and texture the sphere.

ie;

make sure the sphere is big enough to encompass the game world, and is positioned at the centre of the game world.
or you could position the sphere at the player's position.

coincidence? how about pure cosmic convergence!

Thats looking pretty good so far. Was that done in DBP or DBC? It's nice to see people actually doing multiplayer games.. I remember how much people bitched an moaned for multiplayer support for DBC, TGC finally added it and nobody uses it

The media could use some work, I have quite a few things on turbosquid you might be interested in. Specifically these:

The polys on the alecmoody_jagdpanther are 2,496 polys and 1,615 vertices and the other one is 4,972 polys, The models are realy good but there pretty high poly. and they cost $$.

ya,the Valentine MKIII X is around the polygon count you would expect in UT2k4.. The jagdpanther is much lower though. If all your going to have on the screen is a few tanks and a terrain than either should be okay.

Part of solving the problem is actually noticing that the problem is there in the first place

i like the tank

But i would look cooler if you gave the tank another texture so it dont look like a stone.

Just my idea but the game looks great and im looking forward to the realese

The game is made in DBP but i have been having trouble with the tarret pitching up and down and turning too....when i turn the tarret and them pitch it up it looks like it's flipping for some or other wise not going up straight.so i am working on getting that corrected...other wise i will have better tank models and hopefully i will have it pitch up and down...

for the sky sphere, set cull to 0 and you dont need to make a sphere of -1000.
