Hey guys,
I've been working on some compositions. They are not very professional, so I was wondering... do any of you guys visit any RPG community sites where you can submit fan content for people to listen to and give feedback?

The reason I'm looking for an RPG community specifically is because I am just starting out and need just some small scale opinion, and more importantly the music fits the genre.

So in other words you want a RPG forum?(You would have to ask Richard Davey about that)

Or is Game Design Theory forum not good for that?

As program guy 200000 said I'm looking for an RPG site with forum or similar community structure where I can show off my mp3s, since they're not quite top grade yet I don't want to go advertising my n00bism all over mp3.com.

An RPG board here would be a Bad Idea, imagine how people would post saying, "I'm making an rpg, here's two sentences about the game: <insert cliche plot here>, it's going to be a blockbuster hit. I'm hoping to release it by Christmas. By the way, I've never programmed before, can you help me with SYNC ON?"

Hrmmmm... well, there's plenty of musicians here

Post your stuff here, we won't slam ya for trying

O_o nevermind, we don't have a sound forum x_x, why don't we have a sound/music forum??! Rich??!

-_-, hmm, there's musical communities generally avaialable at whatever program your using's website Try there..

Places with music software almost always have forums... Or did you make your music in a studio environment with a keyboard or something?

Details!

Thanks for the reply Jerico.

The stuff I currently have on the PC I made with the FL Studio demo and Sibelius (Kontakt Player Silver included). I've been messing around on my Clavinova, hoping to get a hold of some audio cables so I can use the Clavinova to get some samples.
Okeydokey then, as soon as I get some fresh material I'll post.

Yes, unfortunately so. You can't even get tech support without registration, just need to keep saving my pennies.

[EDIT] Finally found a temporary file host, here's the old mp3s:

I tried one of those links, but DAP seems to only find a 2.3kb file. Might be one of those servers that doesnt allow hot linking.

Either way though, people are quite willing to listen here. Or at least, there is a high turn over of visitors, so there're always a couple that'll check them out. People aren't as harsh as on music forums either. I get honest feedback here. On some music forums, people spend so much time trying to rip a certain aspect apart, they forget the bigger picture.

Post here!

Your post had deep meaning, tahnk you Fallout. In order to download the files you first have to open the link in a browser, then ProHosting will display an ad and a link to the actual file.

No problem, these were just some things I threw together. In the credits or readme could you please put:

Music Copyright
Michael Bartnett
crazydonutproductions@yahoo.com

And list the songs you used if you are using other music sources as well. Thanks. Just out of curiosity, which specific songs are you going to be using?

If you want to just loop that single track then just have two channels of the music prepared. Start playing one and instantly start a timer. Once 44577 to 44578 milliseconds have passed then start playing the next channel and start another timer. Once the first channel has finishes playing get ready to do the same thing.

If you want more added I might be able to recreate what I did (you can't save projects in the FL Studio demo), just post or email me.

@Mattman, have you tried using software that records what is coming out of your speakers? Is the reason you can't distribute because you use samples that are uncommon?
