I saw in the list of features:
Binary Space Partioning (BSP) Support
Nodetree Optimisation

Does this mean there is some sort of BSP/quadtree/octree implementation for rendering and/or collision? Or will we need to implement this ourselves?

This refers to the ability to load Quake 2/3 BSP maps using the dbLoadBSP command.
