Hi all...

I'm beginning to understand that there is in fact no manual or even a languare reference for DBP, and that there is only the help file that comes with it that does not even have a complete syntactical reference.

Example:
---------------------------------------
DO
These commands will define a loop that will repeat indefinitely. You are able to break from the loop at any time by using the EXIT command.

SYNTAX
DO
----------------------------------------

You will note that "loop" is never mentioned as being a requirement for the use of "do". (although, strangely, it does mention "exit").

This is spotty coverage of the language at best!

Is there a true language reference coming?

Might someone suggest the most successful ways that people have learned DBP?

All the best,

i got a manual but it was just a printed out version of the help. I agree, the help is pretty useless so you've really got to try things for yourself before you know what they do. Someone need to get round to writing a decent manual with good descriptions and maybe some code snippits showing the command in use.
