Hi all,

No this isn't spam But if you are interested Dell have a special offer on their PowerEdge Servers at the moment and you can pick-up a brand new 2.4GHz Xeon Processor server with 256MB RAM and an 80GB IDE drive for just £99.

Delivery and VAT take the total to £170 - and these are definitely NOT desktop machines, but real workhorse quality servers. I know most of you won't need them, but for those that do it's a bargain. They make superb back-up/archive/file/web/office servers.

Offer ends on the 15th of December (or until they run out of stock, which given the the rate people are buying them, may be soon!)

Cheers,

Rich

I wonder if they ship to Australia...

Thanks anyway, though.

No - some of us are wondering if they meant to discount the servers by £99 (rather than £350!). A brand new Xeon processor on its own costs £140 here. Ah well - wait and see what turns up (if anything!)

We just bought some new Dell servers a few months ago as well! - a Poweredge1750 and a database server machine too, no complaints so far, they're very stable. I think we spent about £2000 at the time.
