I bought darkBASIC a few months ago and have been playing around with it. I have already made a text adventure and started a 2D one. But, I found that some of the codes for 2D do not work on darkBASIC. Should I buy darkBASIC Professional to make 2D and later 3D games or is it possible to do them on darkBASIC?

Anything is truly possible in either of the programs if you know how to harness the power, DBPro is essentially DBC with more features and constant updating and.... and..., this list goes on and on. Personally, as a fellow newb if you are a newb, I would start with DBC but once you become extremely good at that, or if you get bored for some reason, buy DBP it's worth the trouble.

Well, I'm trying aren't I.....

Yes but DBC isn't always getting new bugs. It just has the same old bugs. This may make it easier to learn. Though they are both extremely easy (bugs aside).

Thanks, but why does some of the code not work with darkBASIC?
