hello people,
i'm having some serious issues these days. please try to help me out.
here's the problem. i bought a new computer 4 month ago from another country( i cant take it back becoz they havnt a branch over here)
specs...

recently the Blue Death Screen appears when ever i play any 3D game. sometimes it mentions that "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" or "BAD_POOL_CALLER" or "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA". it sometimes gives me a driver file mentioned too. i tried everything. i tried updating my ATI driver files. i tried reinstalling a clean windows XP pro. i tried unistalling other PCI cards installed.

i've noticed something. the IRQ of my graphics controller is that same as some USB conrollers. is that good?
please give me some solution. i'm running out of ideas.

it's the 'Blue Screen of Death' I mean... GET IT RIGHT.

The IRQ thing, that's probably bad. I will check with my death screen analyzer.

No, no, and no again. Oh, and did I say no? (Unless you're talking about a graphics USB controller)

You should never have two different kinds of devices with the same IRQ. That could seriously mess things up. I recommend you take your computer to an expert and see if he can fix the IRQs. Of course, if there are other graphic controllers present with the same IRQ, then it will cause an IRQ conflict. Under some circumstances you will have problems with your hardware if this happens.

By the way, what is your graphic card's IRQ? Mine is set to 16.

well jimmy, ur post really made me feel like i need to commit suicide. i hope its not that bad!
i read alot of posts in other websites about this issue, and all say its a driver problem.

the thing is i tried my ideas. anyone else have any suggestions. please post em!

Evil Monkey, my IRQ is 16 also. and the other devices arnt graphics controllers. maybe 3 or 4 devices have the same IRQ. i guess i'll go with ur advice Evil Monkey. how do i seperate the IRQ of my VGA card? i hope this helps.

This problem is caused by overheating, you need to install another fan to blow cold air over your heatsink and chipset.

You know, that's probably what the problem is. I remember my sister's computer once had a BSOD which flashed off about a physical dump of something, and then the computer wouldn't turn on. It seemed that the cooling fan was to blame.

You RAM has died on you. Buy new RAM.
(simple problem, simple answer)

If you look at the error messages it shows, you'll understand why.

It could be both. The ram died from overheating as well. You can never have enough cooling fans (as long as you have a big power supply) also make sure you install XP SP2, Directx 9.0c, and driver version 4.11 for your card. On a side note ... I have also seen error like that from having too small a power supply and voltages get low going to the ram from the power supply being overloaded.

damn it guyz i did it! i found the problem. so i solved it!
problem:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or BAD_POOL_CALLER and then it gave me a driver file like ati2dvag.dll
solution:
updating the VGA drivers to the latest version. CATALYST 4.11! it seems the old drivers didnt go well with my mother board specs. 4.11 solved it for me.
thanks alot guyz for ur help. now i can play HALO

P.S.
how did i make sure everything is ok?
i played FIFA 2003 between Man.United and Arsenal for 45 minutes. with 1024 x 768 32bit full details.
i player Need For Speed Underground for 30 minutes with full graphics throttle!
report:
no BSOD or any errors.

If you're processor isn't overheating than it's not bad for it

Processor's are made to be used

I wouldn't leave the computer on all night running processor intensive apps to find out if it over heats or not! x_x good way to blow it up I would say having a temp guage on your computer while you're playing games and processor intensive apps is a good way to see if the temp is rising while you play or if it stays steady

x_x, or it starts on fire and making your computer crash to see if it overheats isn't the brightest idea out there A crash is hard on the components.. for example, you could end up with some ruined clusters on you HDD

I would imagen the more you use it the faster it would eventually break. Just because something doesn't break, that doesn't mean its not in the process of wearing out.
