Im still very new to DB, all I've done so far is make a better version of pong then the tutorial by editing certain things and working on it, I was just wondering how do I publish the games so people can play them? Is there some html code to link it or something? I was hoping to put the game onto my site, it's not a .com yet just a temporary freewebs site, well can anyone tell me how I'd publish my work on a simple website?

Not like it has anything to do with DarkBASIC in particular, so couldn't you just put the file into your website; I'm not sure exactly how seting up downloads works, but you should be able to include it in the web site (you might need a server, but even a small home DSL connection could suffice).

Or, you could try to send it to the DarkBASIC showcase. They'll host it for free if they think its worth showing.

Oh, well it's just a simple pong game I was hoping to host on my site, it isn't online just as Chris tought with the WS and Up and Down arrow keys, well I guess I'll look into it then thanks for the info.

just set up a web hosting account and upload the file.

Then open notepad and type:

save it as index.html (click "all files" in the tab before saving) and upload it to your web site.

and change mygamelink to the name of your file and change the extension to whatever your game extension is. Eg. mygame.exe

How do I go about packaging the DB file into a Zip file?

You need a program to zip the file, you can use zipitfast pro, from here:

Before I go ahead and download that, would WinZip do the job?
