so, direct draw has died bigtime, dll function calls for vb type app's only work with managed directx x, and for that it is indespendeble to have .net framework and compiler or even .net studio, so, microsoft visual basic 6, cant work with mdx, right ? but it worked with dd in sdk 7.0 , and with 8 too i think, so now to have visual basic and directx togheter, its only possible with mdx and .net, right ??

I really don't know for sure on that one. But VB 6 is quite old by now. I played around with VB6 and DirectX 8, but found it rather hard. (Actually, that's how I came to find DarkBASIC ) You could always download SharpDevelop for learning c# or vb.net.
