Looking at this from a different angle - in theory you could make some kind of basic game creating tool in DB[C/P] and have it output the code that you need, e.g. into Java. Not easy, but not impossible.

Why not just do it in a Java Editor!!!

Have you seen the 2D Mobile Game kit?

The latest Windoze for Mobile Devices claims full .NET support, meaning you could develop with Visual Basic .NET or C#. We've just started doing that where I work and it looks pretty good so far.

Don't call Windows that, it's stupid and ignorant.

Depending on your Cellphone depends on what Operating System it has. Most of them use one called SymbianOS, unfortunately there are currently no BASIC languages capable of programming on them.

This said only Series-60 Nokia and Sony-Ericsson P900/P700 are currently capable of 3D Graphics natively. Generally speaking these phones are only available to people shelling out a good £300+

Nokia N-Gage is really the only choice, and technically it's more of a console. I'd strongly suggest doing some more research into development on Cellphones before asking what languages are possible as you can't distribute them in a very simplistic fashion either.

Just a word of caution for the original poster:

1. If this is just curious/hobby then it's fine, get some Mobile Dev Kit (one is resold through TGC) and have fun.

2. If you're thinking of making money out of this, then set aside about £4,000 to purchase handsets. A wholesale handset will cost you anywhere between £100 and £350 (that's without a contract, so it's a one off payment) and you need to cover at least 3 brands to hit most of the market. People do not have a S/E P910i, they have 3410s, Sagems and crappy Siemens C60s.

If you'd prefer I'd use the adult term for what I was actually thinking, but I'm trying to be pleasent.

it is just so retarded to see people writing 'Windoze', which you might be interested to know is actually a Skin System for Windows similar to WinBlinds or WinStyle.. but also Micro$oft, or Winblows, etc... all it shows is a perpetuated stupidity throughout the masses of people who are likely to be the same morons who generally sit down and write in leet ('1337') somehow believing that it makes them cool, when all it does is put a strain on people trying to read thier retarded posts that aren't even spelt correctly; as such causing quite large amounts of stress for people such as myself, causing many over-stressed, underpaid individuals to go postal.

I guess luckily for everyone my postal sessions come in the forms of ridiculously long rants. Still doesn't make what you were doing any less retarded.

And it is extremely ignorant given that Microsoft's Windows CE Platform is currently the best mobile platform available, only being beaten out by SymbiosisOS due to size issues.
Is that more the response you expected or did you just want me to say, 'i am rubber and your are glue'

Windows is the best operating system on the market.

The s700i has a few pretty good 3d games - not sure if it was hardware or software rendering though. Same goes for SPV.

Oh no, no way, he didn't just say what I think he did, did he?

If you suck at spelling just run your post through a spell checker. Should fixx it.

Ahhh...I see the know-it-all fairy has visited us again,

You might first want to learn how to spell. Try "Pleasant" next time. But I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

Did you mean to say: "THEIR retarded posts"? That's two spelling errors.

Raven, I've shown you nothing but respect in these forums because of your graphics knowledge. I don't understand what personality flaw you have that leads you to cover up your ignorance in other areas with insults. You've never demonstrated anything special in discussions about operating systems, networking, and the like. You're a trained parrot who rehashes tag lines from computer commercials without having any understanding of what you're talking about.

I've made a very good living because of Microsoft and I'm happy they're around. I'll take a good natured poke at them any time I want. If I ever decide I need a socially backward noob to censor my posts, your name is on the top of my list. I suppose if I call them "Microsloth" you're going to go sit in the corner and cry? That's very consistent with how you've behaved so far.

You are the ultimate poser Raven. I bet you can't even find the 3rd spelling error in your message.

And before WWIII starts, the thread might as well be locked.
