Use the 'code' tags. The source box hardly ever works.

Are you using Dark basic Pro Or Classic. If you are Using DBC, I suggest Not using sprites and 3d at the same time, or you will have a serious loss of fps.

I am using the Trial version of Darkbasic Pro, And as for the game im using sprites for the time being then im gonna replace the srpites with 3d models once the skeleten of the program is done.

Basicly im displaying the back ground then a player sprite and an enemy sprite then when the player attacks it will display over the first one then disapear. Would it be alot easier ot use 3d models apose to sprites?

use primitives such as spheres, cubes and cylinders. All these can be created inside DBP. Then, it will be a lot easier converting the game code to load your models. Also, you wont have the problem with the sprites. And remember, if it is fun to play with spheres and cubes, the game will probably be addictive when you have proper media.

Part of solving the problem is actually noticing that the problem is there in the first place
