hey
i posted here a lot last summer/winter but then my interest shifted from DBP

its shifted back recently (and strongly) and ive been programming
however.. last night i reformated my HD and reinstalled windows etc... and cant find my DBP CD at all

i did save teh folder of DBP however when i run it, it requires me to insert hte CD

is there anything i can do besides pay $100 again?

p.s. i also want a trial version for the meantime but cant seem to find it... is there still a DBP trial version? i remember when i posted here there were two, a 90 day trial for the alienware competition and a 30day trial of DBP lite (if my memory is correct)

Maybe you can tear off the cover of your manual and send it it for a new cd? Some companies do this.

Sorry to sound kind of illegal here: copy it. Technically speaking you can make a 'backup' copy of the CD as long as you own it [the original]. If you have completely lost it, and you have a receipt or proof of actually buying it, then it is not actually illegal. You can then transfer the certificate folder of activation from another machine, and it will work perfectly [if you update] - I did this myself, [not the copying bit] because the machine I program on doesnt have the internet - so I activated on another machine, and transfered the file it made. Easy Peasy.
