Hi what i'm trying to do is this:
i made a background in photoshop and know i want to do is load it and make text slide in to the position i want.
how can i do that?

It's all done the long way I'm afraid...Loading images, making sprites, working out positions. There is no easy way.

How do i use it as a background?

i've already executed the comand "load image "background.jpg",1
now what do i do?

HI,
your code is a little wrong...
you should do this:


In this case you put the picture as a background & after that you can load all your sprites.
Don't forget that a 800 X 600 sprite would "eat" a lot of memory!!!
