Hi guys
I´ve just recieved an email from something/somebody that says that my email failed to deliver to rick@thegamecreators.com. Aparently my email contained some kind ofmalware. Though the strange thing is I haven´t sent an email to Rick. I´m guessing some geek has got my email address from the site and has used it to send a virus to Rick´s address.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Here´s the email for your viewing plesure:

There is a far greater chance that it is somebody else who has the problem. Viruses very rarely send mails from the "owner" address, it's usually a combination of address book entries, or from an address book entry to a predetermined address.

That virus will send itself to a random address book entry, and it'll also mask it's originator - it's nothing to do with you or Rick, it's just someone is infected and the virus has targetted you. They're damn annoying, because they seem to be fooling a lot of people - they appear to be mail delivery failures and are about 73k in size. You'd only get infected if you tried to open the attached file.

Yep, I had that with an old address - a web-mail address, so it wasn't virii. Just closed my Yahoo! account, and changed the address on my SourceForge user account.

I get all sorts of emails saying they're from people on the TGC forums. Most recently I've had jerico2day and Wendigo, except they always appear in my junk mail with an attachment and the message "here is the file".

I have a similar thing. I get on average two emails a day saying delivery failure to someone called m0dmaker@aol.com. (Who I've never heard of let alone sent an email to) luckily it goes straight to my junk though and doesn't clutter up my inbox
