I have been searching for hours through google, trying to find the best starfield pic that I can. I am making a space game, and need a large starfield pic to texture the backdrop with, so far the one I have is pretty small, and look squite tiled. I want something big, like 800x600, or 1024x768, so that it won't look tiled on most comps. If you have any good starfield backgrounds, please post them! I will give you credit in the credits, if my game ever gets that far .

Well hmmm, this is odd. The starfield you provided worked great, but upon trying some others, I found them to be extremely tiled. You see, I am using these starfields to texture the backdrop, but it seems that no matter how big I make the images, they still appear the same sized tiles when loaded up, for certain pics with obviouse focal points, this is bad news, and creates horrible tiling! Is there anyway to texture the backdrop, yet make the tiles bigger, so that the image doesn't just appear over and over again in a scene, a thousand times?

You might try a space skybox that Clueless has made. Look in the DBP forum for the thread(s).
