I'll take that as permission...

No one responds in 10 minutes you idiot. Give them some time... ya <insert name here>.

On topic... yeah, i like sim games. Not like a religion, but yeah playing as a god is always fun.

You know who I pray to? Joe Pesci. He looks like a guy who can get things done. Joe Pesci doesn't **** around. In fact, Joe Pesci came through on a couple of things that god was having trouble with.

ya when simcity 4 came out i was quite impressed, however i stand by my feeling that you should be able to walk around your city with some camera option or something. (that would take alought of space though) it would be sweet, Ive always likeed games where, like i said you can be incharge, in fact my first game i ever accutly was impressed with was a 3d maze maker for my first game 3d pac-man

I like a few Sim games. SimCity was cool, I just didn't get heavily into it. On my top list of great gaming experiences, however, are:

Roller Coaster Tycoon series
The Sims series
Caesar III

Caesar III was particularly cool. It was basically SimCity set in Rome with a little bit of fighting involved. I guess it was the setting that intrigued me.

Aye, aye to that! Transport Tycoon is still my favorite game. But you can run it with Windows XP with no problems. There's a patch out there that makes it work with win XP as well as adding some cool things to the game. Google for Transport Tycoon patch.

Roller Coaster Tycoon, and Casino Empire are on par with the sim games. I own all the sim games except for Sim City 4 and Sim City Classic Live, and I enjoy all of them, or use to. I still play Sim City, and Sim Tower.

Casino Empire is a great game, where you try to make your own casino and compete against other casinos.

Cheaat for Casino Empire, I am not sure if anyone else knows about this, I discovered it on my own.

In the registry goto HKEY\LOCAL MACHINE\SIERRA\CASINO EMPIRE
Their should be a string value named something like gen_casinoID set the value for this to 8.00, this will give you all the casinos to work with in sandbox and empire mode.

The game is cheap, only about $10. Do a search on Amazon.

I have the DOS version, you need the directx version to use the patch

Played it a while ago - I had a shock finding that, I thought a sequel to TTD would at least be announced in the mainstream media - I heard nothing about it until I went to his web site and read about it there.

As for locomotion, I was bitterly disappointed I'd have rather had a game the same as TTD but with better graphics and more expandability, rather then better ai and dodgy scenarios. The track building was awful!

No one seems to have mentioned Sid Meier's Civilization series, I'll always remember building the Great Pyramids of Glasgow and the Great Wall of Coventry! I really should re-install that and play it again sometime!

Other then Civilization, there're the greats like:

Roller Coaster Tycoon
Master of Orion
Manhunt, oh wait, no, not quite the, ah, ingore this one...

I don't suffer from insanity:

I enjoy every minute of it!

what about lemonade Tycoon ?
And I like School Tycoon somehow.

But I also played SimCity long moment (since the first version of it)
I also have Caesar II, Caesar III, Zeus, Tropico, but also the Settlers and my brother is fan of football managers (you know, where we play with feets, and not with hands !)

I have heard of Pharaoh. Didn't get the chance to play it.

The only sports games I could ever get into were hockey and basketball games.....

And although not really in the Sim category Age of Wonders is fun.
