I see that the game creators launched a new product, called Mobile basic, it is designed for mobil phones. This got me thinking, why not try and adapt it to work with Palm OS? Palm OS is getting to a point, where some really cool stuff can be performed, and the OS allows for alot of development, and with Game centric devices such as the Tapwave zodiac [href]www.tapwave.com[/href] mobile games could be taken to the next level! I just wanted to let the TGC staff know, that there are alot of people enterested in development for PDA's, preferably PALM OS, I know alot of people on the zodiac forums, that want to develope games, but have no programming experience.

yeah a proper palm os language would be nice, I use smallbasic, but it would be nice to use a language that supports sprites, sound, images etc.

Does the Palm Pilot support any form of JME? If it does, it should take only minimal changes to extend compatibility for it as I think mobile basic exports java bytecode.

http://java.sun.com/products/midp4palm/

looks like it would be realy possible, from what I can make out you can just about drop this MIDP runtime on your palm and then it will run any java app written for mobile devices or phones, interesting.
